Helping You See Clearly, Every Step of the Way

We work closely with local cataract surgeons to provide coordinated care throughout your cataract journey, from diagnosis to post-operative follow-up.

If you’ve been told you may need cataract surgery or are experiencing symptoms like blurry vision or glare, we’re here to help you understand your options and guide you with expert, personalized support.

What Are Cataracts?

Cataracts occur when the lens inside your eye becomes cloudy, often because of aging. This cloudiness can develop slowly and may lead to:

  • Blurry or hazy vision

  • Difficulty seeing at night

  • Light sensitivity or glare

  • Faded or yellowed colours

  • Frequent prescription changes

Cataracts are one of the most common and most treatable causes of vision loss. When they begin to interfere with your daily life, it may be time to consider surgery.

What Is Cataract Co-Management?

Cataract co-management means we partner with a trusted eye surgeon for your procedure, while we handle the rest of your care, including:

  • Diagnosis and monitoring before surgery

  • Referral to a cataract specialist when you’re ready

  • Pre-operative instructions and education

  • Post-operative follow-up care and healing support

  • Help choosing lens options (including premium lenses, when applicable)

This approach ensures you stay supported by a familiar, trusted provider before and after surgery. It also helps keep your care local, coordinated, and personal.

Our Role in Your Cataract Care

We’ll begin with a comprehensive eye exam and imaging to confirm whether cataracts are the cause of your symptoms and how far they’ve progressed. If surgery is recommended, we’ll walk you through your referral and lens options, then coordinate with your surgeon to ensure a seamless experience.

After surgery, we’ll see you back in our office for routine post-op visits to check your healing, monitor your vision, and make sure everything is on track.

Advanced Technology for Better Cataract Detection

We use non-invasive imaging tools like:

  • OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) to assess the retina and macula.

  • Optomap® imaging to monitor overall eye health.

  • Visual acuity and contrast sensitivity testing to track your functional vision.

These tools help us determine the best time for surgery and ensure your eyes stay healthy after recovery.

Personalized, Multilingual Care

Dr. Vo and our staff provide cataract education and instructions in English, Vietnamese, and Spanish, so you can feel fully informed every step of the way. We make sure you understand your condition, your lens options, and what to expect before and after surgery.
