Thinking About Vision Correction Surgery? We Can Help

If you’re considering LASIK or another refractive surgery, our team is here to walk you through the process and provide support before and after your procedure. While we do not perform surgery in our office, we work closely with trusted local surgeons to co-manage your care, ensuring a smooth, comfortable experience from start to finish.

Whether you’re exploring your options or ready to move forward, we’ll help you feel informed and confident.

What Is Refractive Surgery?

Refractive surgery is designed to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses or contact lenses. It corrects how light enters the eye by reshaping the cornea. Common procedures include:

  • LASIK

  • PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy)

  • SMILE

  • ICLs (Implantable contact lenses)

  • Refractive lens exchange

The right choice depends on your eye health, prescription, age, and lifestyle.

Our Role in Your Surgical Journey

Our office provides comprehensive co-management before and after your refractive procedure. This includes:

  • A full pre-operative evaluation to confirm you’re a good candidate.

  • Help understanding procedure options and what to expect.

  • Referral to a trusted local surgeon based on your needs.

  • Post-operative follow-up visits to monitor healing and vision changes.

  • Ongoing support for dry eye, glare, or other after-effects if they occur.

We remain your point of contact throughout the process and ensure you receive eye care that fits your goals and long-term vision health.

Who Is a Good Candidate for LASIK or Refractive Surgery?

Most candidates meet the following criteria:

  • Stable prescription for at least one year

  • Healthy corneas and overall eye health

  • Age 18 or older

  • No active eye infections or uncontrolled dry eye

  • Realistic expectations about outcomes

We’ll evaluate your vision, eye structure, and history to determine whether you qualify, and if not, we’ll recommend safe alternatives.

After Surgery, Your Follow-Up Happens Here

Post-surgery visits are important to ensure your eyes are healing well and your vision remains stable. You won’t need to return to the surgical center for every check-up; we’ll provide this care in our office, with timely appointments and clear communication throughout your recovery.

Questions About LASIK? We’ll Walk You Through It

We take time to explain the risks, benefits, and realistic outcomes of LASIK and other options. Our job isn’t to sell a procedure. It’s to help you decide whether surgery fits your needs, and to support you before and after if you choose to move forward.

Dr. Vo and our staff speak English, Vietnamese, and Spanish, so your questions are always answered in the language you’re most comfortable with.
